Elif Eralp of Die Linke holds the highest implied probability among traders at 72.5 percent for election as Berlin's next Governing Mayor, ahead of the September 20, 2026, House of Representatives vote that determines the outcome. Stefan Evers of the CDU follows at 22.5 percent after his selection as the party's lead candidate in July, while Werner Graf of the Greens, Steffen Krach of the SPD, and Kristin Brinker of the AfD register at 5.5 percent, 2.4 percent, and 0.3 percent respectively. Recent polling trends showing Die Linke competitive or ahead in a fragmented field have supported Eralp's position, with the election system requiring coalition negotiations after results determine the largest party's influence on mayor selection by the new parliament. Trader consensus incorporates historical patterns of post-election bargaining and current party standings without assuming a single-party majority.
