Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the Parti Québécois in polling averages near 30-33 percent, buoyed by strong francophone support that translates into favorable seat projections ahead of the October 5, 2026, election. Recent surveys show his party holding a narrow edge over the Quebec Liberals under Charles Milliard, while Christine Fréchette’s Coalition Avenir Québec remains in third despite her April 2026 leadership win and swearing-in as premier. High numbers of undecided voters and the PQ’s established organizational base among key demographics have reinforced trader consensus around Plamondon, with limited recent momentum for the other contenders shifting the implied probabilities.
