This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially appointed and sworn in as Prime Minister of Greece following the next parliamentary election. If an election is called early, this market will immediately resolve to the individual who is officially appointed and sworn in after that election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn-in by the specified date. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official information from the Greek government.Kyriakos Mitsotakis holds an 80.5% implied probability as the next Greek prime minister because New Democracy leads recent polls by double digits, reflecting the incumbent’s advantage ahead of the scheduled 2027 parliamentary election. Mitsotakis has repeatedly ruled out a snap vote in 2026, allowing his government to complete its term while advancing fiscal measures and a multi-year development plan. Opposition parties remain fragmented, with Alexis Tsipras’s new ELAS grouping polling around 16% and other challengers such as PASOK and smaller formations trailing further behind. Mitsotakis also leads personal-preference surveys for prime minister suitability. Traders price the remaining named candidates and “other” outcomes far lower, consistent with the structural barriers facing non-incumbent contenders in Greece’s current electoral environment.
