Russia’s Supreme Court ruling on August 10, upheld after appeal, removed Yabloko’s federal candidate list from the September 2026 State Duma ballot following a Rodina party lawsuit over campaign materials and alleged financing issues, directly barring the party from competing in the proportional representation system that allocates half the seats. This structural exclusion, combined with Yabloko’s consistent sub-5% results in every national election since 1999 even when participating, underpins trader consensus on the 98.7% “No” probability. Single-member district candidates remain eligible, yet these races do not feed into the party-list threshold calculation that defines market resolution. Further appeals to the Constitutional Court or other procedural challenges represent the narrowest remaining pathways for any shift, though the compressed timeline to voting on September 18–20 makes reversal improbable.
