Recent political instability following the 2025 dismissal of ADI Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada has fragmented the party and boosted MLSTP–PSD visibility after it backed independent President Carlos Vila Nova’s successful July 2026 re-election bid. With parliamentary voting set for 27 September under closed-list proportional representation across districts, ADI retains an incumbency edge from its 30 current seats, positioning it as the frontrunner while leaving second place more contested. MLSTP–PSD’s 18 seats and recent alliance momentum support its standing, whereas smaller groups like MCI/PS–PUN and Basta face structural barriers in seat allocation. Trader consensus on these probabilities reflects the impact of the presidential outcome and ongoing coalition dynamics ahead of the election.
