NRPUP secured its dominant position in the Zambia National Assembly election market after the August 13, 2026, general election, where official tallies showed the party winning the second-highest seat total behind the ruling UPND. As the primary opposition vehicle consolidating support from former Patriotic Front networks under leader Brian Mundubile, NRPUP fielded candidates across most constituencies and outperformed fragmented rivals including CF, SP, and smaller groupings. Trader consensus at 99.6% reflects these confirmed parliamentary results, though limited uncertainty remains around final seat allocations and any legal challenges alleging procedural irregularities in vote handling. Shifts would require successful court interventions or major revisions by the Electoral Commission of Zambia altering the established ranking.
