Flavio Bolsonaro maintains a commanding position in Paraná for first place in the October 4 first round due to the state's consistent right-wing voting patterns and strong alignment with Liberal Party (PL) support. As the party's nominee and heir to his father's political movement, he benefits from consolidated conservative backing in this southern state, where similar candidates outperformed nationally in prior cycles. Recent party convention formalization and campaign launch have reinforced his status without major disruptions. Lula trails significantly here despite national polling leads elsewhere. Other candidates, including Renan Santos and Ronaldo Caiado, remain fragmented with minimal traction. Late developments such as family reconciliation or policy emphasis on crime could further entrench the lead, though a sudden scandal or unexpected regional surge by a rival remains a narrow path to alter the outcome before election day.
