Flávio Bolsonaro leads trader pricing for first place in the Rio Grande do Sul first-round presidential vote at 63 percent, reflecting consistent state polling from mid-2026 that placed him ahead of or statistically tied with incumbent President Lula. June and July surveys in the state showed Flávio at 32–42 percent versus Lula at 30–39 percent, with the remainder scattered among lower-polling names such as Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, Romeu Zema, and Augusto Cury. Flávio’s July 2026 Liberal Party nomination, campaign launch, and right-wing base consolidation in the South have reinforced this positioning ahead of the October 4 first round, while Lula’s national lead has not translated as strongly among gaúcho voters. Most other listed candidates remain at single-digit or sub-1 percent levels consistent with current polling distributions.
