Persistent humid tropical air and light variable winds are keeping overnight radiative cooling modest across South Florida, with National Weather Service guidance placing the September 8 minimum in the upper 70s. Market-implied odds cluster tightly between 76–77°F and 78–79°F because ensemble guidance shows only modest spread in cloud cover and shower timing—factors that directly modulate how far temperatures fall before sunrise. Recent model runs indicate scattered convection may linger into the evening, limiting clear-sky cooling, while easterly flow prevents strong cold advection. Updated NWS and NOAA model guidance later today will refine the exact threshold traders are tracking for resolution.
