Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Seattle on September 9 points to a minimum temperature in the mid-50s, with consensus lows near 54–57 °F under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and light northerly winds. These conditions favor moderate radiative cooling overnight after daytime highs in the mid-70s, consistent with early-September climatology that shows average lows near 54 °F. The tightly bunched market prices around 52–57 °F reflect this narrow forecast spread and the absence of strong model disagreement or incoming weather systems that would drive sharper overnight drops or warmer mixing. Minor variations in cloud cover or wind speed remain the main variables that could shift the exact reading within that band before official observations close the market.
