Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models indicate a frontal system approaching Chicago on September 9, bringing increased cloud cover, morning showers, and an 80% precipitation chance that limits daytime heating. Southwest winds of 10-15 mph and high humidity support highs in the low-to-mid 80s, aligning with the market's leading 80-81°F (35%) and 82-83°F (25.5%) bins. Early September heat, with multiple days above 90°F, has given way to this moderating pattern, while historical September 9 averages near 79°F provide context. Updated NWS guidance and model runs over the next 48 hours will refine steering and intensity details ahead of market resolution.
