This market will resolve according to the winner of the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Massachusetts. If no 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Senate Primary takes place, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the first announcement of the results from the Massachusetts Democratic party, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Incumbent Ed Markey holds a commanding lead in the Massachusetts Democratic Senate primary due to sustained advantages in late-summer polling and broad backing from party organizations, labor unions, and progressive figures including Bernie Sanders. Multiple August surveys, including Suffolk University/Boston Globe and UMass Amherst/WCVB polls, show Markey ahead of Rep. Seth Moulton by 14 to 28 points among likely primary voters, reflecting stronger trust on key issues and support across demographic groups after an earlier tightening of the race. Ayanna Pressley declined to enter and endorsed Markey, while Alexander Rikleen withdrew and backed the incumbent. With the September 1 primary just days away, traders price in Markey’s position as the near-certain nominee absent a late-breaking development such as a major health event or scandal that could alter voter sentiment in the final stretch.
