Recent Swedish polling averages place the Center Party (C) narrowly ahead of the Christian Democrats (KD) at roughly 6.9–8.0% versus 6.2–7.5%, consistent with the market’s slim 53.5% implied probability that C receives more votes. Both parties sit close to the 4% parliamentary threshold and draw from overlapping centrist and rural voter bases within a fragmented landscape dominated by the Social Democrats and Sweden Democrats. C has gained ground this summer by shifting strategy toward a “mittenalternativet” government option involving the Social Democrats and possibly KD, while KD has emphasized welfare and education reforms ahead of its manifesto launch. Tight margins, ongoing coalition positioning, and the short campaign window to the September 13 election sustain the competitive balance, with final-week polling movements or turnout shifts among undecided centrists most likely to alter the outcome.
