**Vänsterpartiet holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for outpolling Centerpartiet in the September 13, 2026, Swedish parliamentary election, reflecting their closely matched recent polling averages around 7.4–7.7% for V and 7.3–8.0% for C.** The contest remains tight because Centerpartiet has posted the strongest gains among smaller parties over the past three months, buoyed by campaign focus on household finances and its explicit push for a centrist coalition involving Social Democrats and Christian Democrats that deliberately excludes Vänsterpartiet. Both parties sit well below the dominant Social Democrats and Sweden Democrats, so relative performance hinges on turnout, late shifts among liberal-leaning or rural voters, and any final-week momentum from debates over economic policy and government formation. Recent surveys show C narrowing or occasionally leading the head-to-head, keeping the implied probability sensitive to the last published results before election day.
