Latest forecast guidance from NOAA and private models shows Seattle under high pressure with clearing skies and northerly flow on September 8, supporting a high near 72°F as the most likely outcome. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average of 72.4°F and recent model runs that have held steady without significant warm or cool biases. Trader positioning reflects this narrow range, with the 72–73°F and 74–75°F bins capturing nearly 80% of implied probability amid typical ensemble spread of a few degrees. Key variables to watch include afternoon mixing depth and any late-day marine layer intrusion, which could cap or boost the peak by 1–2°F before official observations finalize the market.
