United Russia maintains a commanding position ahead of the September 2026 State Duma elections, with historical results showing the party securing the largest share of the party-list vote in nearly every region through centralized candidate selection, limited genuine opposition, and high reported turnout in prior cycles. Recent preparations include leadership restructuring in 2025, inclusion of wartime veterans on lists, and Kremlin adjustments to target vote shares around 45-55% amid softening support indicators. Polling averages continue to show United Russia ahead of systemic opposition parties by wide margins, though regional variations and reported irregularities create room for at least one underperformance. Traders price the full sweep at 60% to reflect these entrenched structural advantages alongside the narrow but persistent possibility of slippage in one or more areas before voting concludes.
