Grand Theft Auto VI leads trader sentiment for The Game Awards 2026 Game of the Year at 61.5% implied probability, driven by Rockstar's cultural dominance and its November 19 release just ahead of eligibility. The open-world epic's unprecedented hype, pre-order momentum, and history of awards recognition create strong consensus despite limited hands-on access. Resident Evil Requiem sits second at 10.5% after earning critical acclaim and strong sales since its February launch, while titles like Phantom Blade Zero and Control Resonant trail lower amid a stacked 2026 slate. Upcoming catalysts include the August 27 extended look, September releases from Marvel's Wolverine and others, and December 10 ceremony timing, with late reviews potentially influencing jury momentum in this unpredictable awards race.
