Flavio Bolsonaro leads the Polymarket for first place in Rio Grande do Sul's first-round presidential vote at 62%, well ahead of Lula at 34% and a long list of other names clustered near 50% or lower. State-specific surveys from June and July 2026 showed the PL senator ahead or tied with the incumbent president among gaúcho voters, reflecting the region's consistent preference for right-leaning candidates. Bolsonaro's July nomination by the Liberal Party, formal campaign launch, and endorsements from international conservative figures have reinforced his positioning as the primary challenger in a state where his father's movement has retained strength. Lula's support has remained stable but lower locally, while minor candidates including Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and Renan Santos register minimal shares consistent with national polling patterns. No major new state-level survey has emerged in the past month to alter this trader consensus.
