Flávio Bolsonaro's status as the leading right-wing candidate, bolstered by his father's endorsement and Liberal Party infrastructure, anchors trader consensus for first place in Goiás despite Ronaldo Caiado's strong regional base as the state's former governor. National polling trends since the mid-August campaign launch show the broader Lula-Flávio contest tightening, with right-wing voters consolidating around the Bolsonaro name rather than third-way options like Caiado or Romeu Zema. Goiás voters in the agricultural center-west have historically favored conservative candidates, yet limited recent state-specific surveys and fragmented opposition support sustain Flávio's lead in market pricing. Upcoming debates and turnout patterns in the October 4 first round could shift alignments if local loyalties reassert themselves.
