Latest forecast models from major agencies show a high temperature near 80-82°F for New York City on September 13, driven by a southerly flow advecting warmer air while increasing cloud cover and widespread rain suppress maximum readings. This aligns with the market's leading 80-81°F bin, as precipitation timing and intensity introduce uncertainty in peak values, with historical September averages around 77.5°F providing context for the above-normal but moderated outcome. Traders weigh ensemble consensus against potential model shifts in steering patterns or rainfall onset that could push readings into adjacent bins like 78-79°F or 82-83°F. Updated National Weather Service guidance and next model cycles will refine these probabilities ahead of resolution.
