Official observations from Miami International Airport and NOAA stations confirmed the September 11, 2026, daily maximum at 88–89°F, aligning with the market’s near-certain consensus. Forecasters noted typical late-summer conditions featuring high humidity, scattered thunderstorms that capped afternoon heating, and steering patterns keeping the area under a moist easterly flow. This outcome sits near the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 89.6°F for the date, with model consensus from the prior days showing little deviation once the 24-hour window closed. Only a post-event measurement revision by the National Weather Service could alter resolution, an infrequent occurrence given standardized instrumentation and quality controls.
