Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and Denver-area meteorologists point to a minimum temperature near 57°F on September 17 under scattered thunderstorms, driving the clustered market-implied odds around the 58–63°F range. Overnight radiative cooling under variable cloud cover, combined with light winds and dew points in the mid-50s, sets the baseline, while any earlier or heavier precipitation could limit further drops by enhancing mixing. Historical September climatology shows average lows near 49°F, but recent model runs reflect modest warming from regional flow patterns. Traders appear to weigh the narrow window for the daily minimum against potential revisions in final NWS observations at official stations.
