Recent official forecasts from Chinese meteorological sources and global models project a high of 28–29°C for Shanghai on September 17 under mostly cloudy to overcast skies with light easterly winds and a slight chance of brief showers. These conditions, typical of post-summer transition in the Yangtze River Delta, suppress daytime heating compared to clearer September days while aligning with historical averages near 27–29°C. Trader consensus, reflected in the 52% implied probability for 28°C, centers on this narrow range amid minimal model spread and no significant synoptic shifts expected before resolution.
