Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate an overnight low in the mid- to upper 60s for Los Angeles on September 16, driven by a persistent marine layer with patchy drizzle and onshore flow that limits radiational cooling. This aligns with historical September averages near 64°F and recent observations showing similar mild nights amid above-normal daytime highs. Trader emphasis on the 66–69°F brackets reflects model consensus on these conditions, while residual probability on cooler thresholds accounts for potential variations in fog thickness or wind patterns that could enhance cooling before dawn. Updated NWS guidance and local station data releases will provide the final resolution criteria for the daily minimum.
