Persistent northeasterly flow and high atmospheric moisture are moderating peak temperatures in Miami for September 17, with National Weather Service guidance indicating a high near 88°F amid scattered afternoon thunderstorms. These conditions—driven by an approaching upper-level low and typical September trade-wind regime—limit solar heating through cloud cover and evaporative cooling from rain, keeping maxima clustered in the mid-to-upper 80s. Historical September averages near 89°F provide context, yet current model consensus and elevated precipitation probabilities (60–70%) favor the market’s leading 88–89°F bin at 44.5% implied probability, followed by 86–87°F. Updated NHC and local forecast discussions through the evening will refine any shifts from overnight model runs.
