**Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other sources indicate a minimum temperature for New York City on September 17 likely in the upper 60s to low 70s, with consensus around 67–70°F driven by persistent cloud cover, southerly flow, and elevated humidity.** These conditions limit radiational cooling overnight, keeping lows higher than under clear skies typical for mid-September. Recent model runs show slight disagreements on the exact timing of any clearing or wind shifts that could allow a brief dip toward 68–69°F versus stabilization near 70–72°F. Traders appear to weight the warmer end of guidance more heavily, reflecting the current atmospheric setup with moist air masses and light winds that reduce the chance of sharp nocturnal drops. Updated NWS briefings and refined model outputs later on the 16th could shift odds if skies trend clearer than anticipated.
