Official forecasts from the National Weather Service place Atlanta's high near 91°F today under sunny skies, driven by an abnormally strong mid-level ridge promoting strong subsidence and suppressing cloud cover or precipitation. This setup has delivered above-normal warmth, running roughly 10–15°F above the mid-September climatological average of 83°F. Light easterly winds and minimal moisture support efficient daytime heating without significant mixing or convective cooling. Market-implied odds center on the 90–91°F bin, reflecting tight alignment between model guidance and observed trends, though minor variations in peak timing or station microclimates could nudge the official maximum into adjacent ranges. Updated observations and any late adjustments to the daily maximum will determine final resolution.
