Lula maintains a commanding lead in Ceará for first place in the October 4 first round, reflecting the state’s status as a consistent PT stronghold in the Northeast where the party has topped presidential voting since 2002. National polls from Datafolha and Quaest show the incumbent holding 39-41% support ahead of Flávio Bolsonaro at 33-36%, with even wider regional margins in Ceará and neighboring states driven by established voter coalitions and incumbency advantages. Ciro Gomes’s decision to run for Ceará governor instead of president further concentrates left-leaning preferences. Trader consensus at 94.3% aligns with these patterns, though a major late scandal, health event, or unexpected turnout surge could still narrow the gap before election day.
