Lula's commanding position in Amazonas trader odds stems from consistent polling leads in the state, where he has posted 44-46% support in recent surveys against Flávio Bolsonaro's 36-42%, driven by stronger backing in the interior municipalities that comprise nearly half the electorate. National trends showing Lula ahead by 5-7 points nationally reinforce this, with Amazonas-specific factors including his late-May visit and a major offshore oil discovery near the Amazon coast that bolsters his pro-development stance ahead of the October 4 first round. Flávio Bolsonaro trails amid lingering effects from prior controversies and weaker interior numbers, while minor candidates such as Renan Santos, Ronaldo Caiado, Augusto Cury, and Romeu Zema register low single digits and lack measurable state momentum. Traders view these patterns as durable through election day barring major late shifts.
