If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., www.tse.jus.br/eleicoes/resultados-eleicoes).Recent Datafolha polling released August 21 shows Benedita da Silva (PT) leading overall at 15% while Carlos Jordy (PL), Carlos Portinho (PL), Marcelo Crivella (Republicanos), Pedro Paulo (PSD), and Mônica Benício (PSOL) remain in technical tie for the second Senate seat at 6-8%, amid 23% null/blank and 12% undecided voters. The fragmented field, dual-vote structure allowing two senator selections per ballot, and absence of dominant consolidation among right-leaning or opposition candidates sustain tight positioning in trader consensus for second place. Upcoming campaign events, party alliances, or shifts in undecided blocs could alter relative standing before October.
